I love this piece! It is part of the WILDSCAPES series. WILDSCAPES are made using foraged plants as tools and brushes. The materials are pressed and flicked onto muslin or wild silk after dipping in a combination of natural dyes I make, acrylic paint, ink, and water. The paintings reflect the exuberance of the plants and flowers. The muslin has a see-through quality that captures light and hints at the internal stretcher bar structure, a counterpoint to the lyrical compositions.
