WILDSCAPES are made using foraged plants as tools and brushes. The materials are pressed and flicked onto muslin or wild silk after dipping in a combination of natural dyes I make, acrylic paint, ink, and water. The paintings reflect the exuberance of the plants and flowers. The muslin has a see-through quality that captures light and hints at the internal stretcher bar structure, a counterpoint to the lyrical compositions.
