WILDSCAPES
Untitled, RR 2025
Acrylic and dandelion on canvas
48×36in
WILDSCAPES are made using foraged plants as tools and brushes. The materials are pressed and flicked onto muslin or wild silk after dipping in a combination of natural dyes I make, acrylic paint, ink, and water. The paintings reflect the exuberance of the plants and flowers.
I gathered hundreds of dandelions in my backyard in Ithaca, NY. I separated the bright yellow petals and boiled them to make a kind of petal glue that I spread on the canvas.
